While the market is good and Holden Beach home sales have been on the increase, there are still a number of people that have questions about the process. Below are some of the more common things we’re asked about regarding Holden Beach home sales.

Holden Beach home salesQ. What is the first step once I decide I want to buy my first home?

A. The first step is to talk to a lender, whether that is a bank, credit union, or mortgage broker. They will walk you through the application process to determine how much home you can afford.

Q. Do all the properties that are for sale on Holden Beach get listed on your website?

A. All properties that are listed with the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) in North Carolina are listed on our website regardless of who the listing agent is. Homes that are for sale by owner are not on our site.

Q. How do I find out how much the taxes and association dues are for a property I’m interested in?

A. Give us a call at Brunswickland Realty at 1-800-842-6949 and we’d be happy to talk about the finer point of any that interests you. In addition, we’d love to take you out to see it!

Q. Do I have to get a property inspection on a property I’m considering?

A. While cash buyers are not required by law to have a property inspection done, it’s in your best interest to do so. A property inspection will uncover any defects with the house or property that may not have been disclosed, known about, or seen with the naked eye. Mortgage lenders will always require a property inspection be done before they will authorize a mortgage.
